Choosing a dental care provider is a big deal! It can be a bit intimidating to begin your search for a new dentist. Once you narrow down a couple options, what do you do next? One of the best ways to begin is to put together a list of things that are a priority for you. Here are some things to consider: Does the office have convenient offices hours? Is it in an accessible location? Is it family friendly? Do they offer cosmetic treatments?

Ask around and look online

Ask your friends and family where they go. They have first-hand experience and wouldn’t recommend someone without having a pleasant experience. Read online reviews and look at the practice website. This gives you an idea of other patients experiences and what type of services a practice offers.

Stop by the office and schedule a time to meet the doctor.

Webster Groves Dental would be happy to give you a tour and have you meet the doctor before you schedule a dental appointment. This gives you a chance to see if the office is clean, the equipment up to date, and the staff friendly. Additionally, it is an opportunity to find out how the practice is run and if it aligns with your expectations.

Is the practice owned by a corporation?

A practice owned by a corporation means the dentist has to report to an executive office. Corporations are looking to make money usually at the sacrifice of providing high-quality dental work and can even recommend expensive treatments that you may not need. It may be tricky to find out if a practice is owned by a corporation, so this is a question you should ask when you call or visit an office.
